File Formats
DRD Technology Can Read and Write
We can take CAD
models in a wide variety of formats, improve and/or repair the 3D geometry, if
necessary, and then write it out in the format that our customer needs. The
table directly below summarizes our capabilities in this area.

There is a good chance that we have the same CAD
system that you use since we have Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks, SpaceClaim, and UNIGRAPHICS. If
we use your CAD system we may be able to deliver back to you the optimized
design in the intelligent and parametric format of your CAD system. In any case,
we can deliver to you an optimized or improved design.
If you don't have one of DRD's
four CAD systems, there is still a good chance that we can successfully use your
CAD system's geometry to make an ANSYS finite element model. Most of the PC
based mid-range CAD systems are based on the Parasolid or ACIS geometry engines,
and we have very good tools for working with geometry from these CAD systems.
The following table may help you understand how DRD might work with geometry
from your CAD system.
