Heat Transfer Analysis in ANSYS Classic Course Outline

This course is intended for experienced ANSYS users who analyze the thermal response of structures and components involving conduction, convection, and radiation. Also for ANSYS users who perform analysis on structures exhibiting special heat transfer phenomena including contact resistance, thermal-stress coupling, and phase change. This course is designed to help users perform steady-state, transient, linear, and nonlinear thermal analyses.

Chapter 1 Introduction
Chapter 2 Fundamental Concepts
Chapter 3 Steady-State Heat Transfer (no mass transport of heat)
Chapter 4 Additional Consideration for Nonlinear Analysis
Chapter 5 Transient Analysis
Chapter 6 Complex, Time and Spatially Varying Boundary Condition
Chapter 7 Additional Convection/Heat Flux Loading Options and Simple Thermal/Flow Elements
Chapter 8 Radiation Heat Transfer
Chapter 9 Phase Change Analysis
Chapter 10 Coupled-Field Analysis

The Heat Transfer course can to conducted as either a 2-day or a 3-day course. DRD usually conducts the course in a 2-day format. Please check the Training Schedule for course duration. For the 2-day course, we omit Chapters 9 and 10, and we do not do the exercise in Chapter 7. DRD may further customize the course at its discretion based upon the interests of the course attendees.
