Large Deflection Analysis of a 4-Part Threaded Joint Assembly Using Linear and Nonlinear Contact Options

In this workshop we perform a 2D axisymmetric analysis of the 4 part threaded joint shown in Figure 1. Aspects of this model include:
  • No separation always contact as an intermediate step toward developing a nonlinear contact model.
  • Use of ‘Exclude Everything’ initial penetration contact option.
  • Use of CNOF and ICONT real constants to control initial penetration behavior.
