ANSYS Surface to Surface Contact Options
This section of our web site provides explanations for the ANSYS surface to surface contact options using animation sequences. The surface to surface contact elements are elements 169-174. This content is taken from Chapter 10 of DRD’s course Linear and Nonlinear Contact Using ANSYS.
We will use this pair of 2D cantilever beams to demonstrate the behavior of the ANSYS contact element types. For each contact type we will push the upper beam down and then pull it up.
