Bonded Initial Contact, Key Option 12 = 6
Bonded initial
contact detects initial contact before loads are applied and treats these
portions of the contact surfaces as bonded. Portions of the contact surfaces
that are not initially in contact will never be treated as in contact. Sliding
is not permitted on the portions of the contact surfaces in contact. Note that
this is essentially linear contact.

Note that the friction stresses for the bonded
initial contact model are high. The maximum value is 419,605.
