In this exercise, the students create a 3D brick mesh entirely by extrusions or sweeping after tweaking the geometry to make it conducive for brick elements. Some concepts covered are:

• Determining brick meshable volumes
• Surface meshing and local mesh controls for extrusions
• Use cyclic symmetry as appropriate to gain efficiency in solution times
