DRD's
Introduction to ANSYS Workbench Simulation Course
DRD's Introduction to ANSYS
Workbench Simulation course is based on course materials of the two-day
ANSYS Workbench Design Simulation Introduction course developed by ANSYS,
Inc. with supplementary materials from DRD Technology. DRD conducts this
course in two days by skipping most of the lecture portion of the course
materials developed by ANSYS, Inc. This leaves more time for students to do
the hands on workshops and cover additional topics through lecture. DRD
provides supplementary course content in the form of additional workshops
and some special topics presented in brief lectures. Our workshops are
designed for customers to encounter the practical kinds of problems with the
software that they will see when they return to their companies and do real
analysis. Our supplementary materials in lecture format are designed to give
students the background in basic finite element and engineering mechanics
theory so that they understand what they are doing when they do analysis.
Students will probably not
have time to complete all 9 of the ANSYS workshops and 12 of the DRD
supplementary workshops. We encourage students to perform the workshops
which will be most useful to their line of work.
Our approach to conducting
this course is consistent with our philosophy that our customers learn the
most from training when they are actually running the software. We,
therefore, maximize the time students spend running the software, and we
minimize the time that the instructor lectures.
The course objective is for
students to gain proficiency with the Workbench Simulation software.
DRD provides students with
copies of the two-day ANSYS Workbench Simulation Introduction course
materials and a copy of DRD's supplementary materials. The course outline is
provided below. DRD usually omits covering some of the course content as
noted.
