Dedicated Tools to Solve All Your Electronics Challenges

Electromechanical Devices, Sensors and Power Transfer

Simulate the static, frequency-domain and time-varying electromagnetic fields of system powerhouses like motors, actuators, solenoids, and sensors that require an eletromechanical response using Ansys Maxwell and Q3D and analyze motor multiphysics using Ansys Motor-CAD.

Antennas, PCBs, Waveguides

Understand the signal integrity of computing devices such as antennas, RF system components, PCBs, chips, layered structures, and other high-frequency, low-power products through full wave 3D electromagnetic simulations using Ansys HFSS and Ansys SIWave.

RF Filtering Technology

Optimize your microwave, RF, and automatic digital filtering products with the help of Ansys Nuhertz FilterSolutions and Ansys HFSS.

EMC/EMI

Evaluate your product’s response to other electronic devices and lightning, sparks, and dielectric breakdown caused by abnormal electronic interference with Ansys HFSS, Ansys EMC+, and Ansys Charge+.

Electronics Cooling

If your electronics product require thermal management, active or passive, leverage Ansys Icepak to calculate airflow, temperature, and heat transfer.

Ansys High-Performance Computing Solutions

As product sophistication increases, your simulation needs evolve. To maximize productivity, you need high-fidelity models that incorporate multiple physics across entire systems. This requires more computing power coupled with software that can truly leverage your hardware investment. With Ansys High-Performance Computing (HPC) solutions, you can select the level of computing power you need to support your parallel processing, distributed solving, parametric analysis, or multiphase model requirements so you can get to market faster with a more reliable product.

To accelerate your structural simulations, Ansys HPC solutions include a parallel direct solvers and GPU acceleration for both shared and distributed memory parallel solvers.

Application Examples

EMI Prediction in Cables
Q

EMI Prediction in Cables

The simulation measures the electromagnetic interference of the electromagnetic field produced by the cables that transfer the energy from batteries to the electric motor. Cable modeling in conjunction with electric motor design is very critical.

Magnetic Field on Inverter

Q3D/ Maxwell can perform simulations to calculate magnetic field distribution in half bridge inverter topology.  Q3D can account for the full linearity in the system while Maxwell accounts for non-linear effects in metallic enclosure ensuring full accuracy on loss predictions.

S-parameter Calculation on MMIC Device

HFSS’ unique transfinite element method was used on this MMIC device to calculate the S-parameter with a high computational efficiency.  Fields on the port were expanded in terms of eigenmodes of the waveguide/transmission line.
